Bridge program
Fairleigh Dickinson University offers graduates of three-year foreign programs the opportunity to enroll in our master's degrees by way of a "bridge program." Students applying into the bridge program should complete the regular FDU International Student Application form and specify "bridge" next to the major.
Please note that the bridge program is available only for MBA, MIS and Computer Science majors. All other three year degree holders will need to do one of the following:- Apply as an undergraduate transfer student. Your three years of coursework will be evaluated for transfer into one of our undergraduate programs.
OR-Complete one additional year of coursework in your home country. Please note that the coursework must meet the following criteria:
- [ltr]Must be the first year master's or PGD program from an ACCREDITED university. Vocational or technical programs are generally not accredited university degrees and are therefore unacceptable.[/ltr]
- [ltr]Classes must be taken on-site. Distance learning programs are not accepted.[/ltr]
* MBA Bridge
The Bridge Program consists of ten courses (30 semester hours), which a student can complete in one year, prior to joining the MBA program. Upon successful completion, the student continues automatically into an MBA program in the renowned Silberman College of Business.
Admission to the Bridge Program is intended only for students who plan to earn an MBA. To be admitted to the MBA Bridge Program, students must submit an international student admission application, all required academic documents (as indicated on the application) and a GMAT score.
* Computer Science/MIS Bridge
Fairleigh Dickinson University offers graduates of three-year programs in India the opportunity to receive a Master of Science degree in computer science or in management information systems (MIS) after the successful completion of 33 credits of graduate coursework and a 30-credit bridge requirement. The program is offered through the School of Computer Science and Information Systems of University College: Arts • Sciences • Professional Studies at the Teaneck-Hackensack Campus.
The bridge program requires 30 credits (usually 10 courses) beyond the 33 credits required for the Master of Science degree.
The credits may be chosen from graduate and undergraduate courses and should be selected in consultation with the program director or deputy director. Students may not select courses for which they already have received college credit. Computer science or management information systems prerequisite courses, as listed in the M.S. requirements, can be used to satisfy these elective credits.
